Final Push for RSS Profile Begins
Rogers Cadenhead says:
In exactly one month, the RSS Profile will be proposed for the
approval of the RSS Advisory Board:http://www.rssboard.org/rss-profile
I will be updating it frequently over the next four weeks in a final
push to make it a comprehensive set of recommendations for best
practices in RSS.
Included in the latest draft of the recommendation:
- No HTML markup in anything but channel/description
- Dealing with namespace collisions and precedence
The profile contains the collective wisdom of a number of very intelligent people. I hope that it becomes a widely-referenced and canonical document for “Best RSS Practices.”

I hope it does, either through the board or by being picked up and adopted by other groups. The Creative Commons license allows anyone to build on the work.
