Ebay is now offering RSS feeds based on custom searches. Type in a search, and the results page includes and RSS feed you can use to notify you when new matching items appear for sale.

For example, I did a search on “Atom and RSS” in the Books section, and this RSS feed was at the bottom of the results page.

(One of the parameters for the feed is “output=RSS20″, but I tinkered around and couldn’t find any other output types supported.)
