Technorati Founder resigns from RSS Board

I was sorry to see today that David Sifry, founder and CEO of Technorati, has resigned from the RSS Board. Normally I would comment on the furor which led to his announcement, but the soap-opera of the past week pretty well speaks for itself.

I will say this… For those who remain, I admire you who have kept your cool and are trying to be productive. We all want the same thing, after all: Happy feeding.

In spite of the loss, the Board continues… Rogers Cadenhead also announced a wiki set up to continue the work of helping clarify/profile the RSS 2.0 spec. For a good overview of what he and the RSS Board are trying to do, take a look at The Joy of Specs.

Greg Reinacker, Founder/CTO of NewsGator, pulled the plug too. Thanks for all the links above. The wiki might be a really good thing.
