Patterned Feeds
I’m pleased to note that xml.com has just published “Putting RSS to Work: Immediate Action Feeds“. This is my first substantial bit of ruminating on the idea that there are Syndication Design Patterns which can be documented and used as stepping stones to better RSS and Atom feeds.
My hope with the Immediate Action Feeds article is primarily to get a lot of smart people thinking about new ways to leverage their feeds. My genuine hope is to see this pattern - which is all about feed usability - become the norm over time. (Granted, I have only named the thing, but I believe strongly in the philosophy behind it.)
I am also looking to see if there is a good spot to host a collaborative site - wiki or otherwise - to discover and discuss Syndication Design Patterns. My little working area doesn’t foster community effort. I also believe the discussion shouldn’t be “branded” with anyone’s personal site. Perhaps the Atom community could play a good host to this.
If anyone has a good-visibility area suggestion for such a thing, please let me know.

Just thinking out loud here, but would the c2 wiki be a stretch?
