Del.icio.us Live Bookmarks, Plugged In

Back in March I wrote “Del.icio.us Live Bookmarks” describing a simple way to use del.icio.us as your centralized bookmark repository and live bookmarks (via RSS) to make them a click away in Firefox.

This is a great example of how RSS has truly become the plumbing predicted by Greg Reinacker.

The del.icio.us team has a plug-in for Firefox (1.5 and earlier) that adds a great layer of convenience for posting new items, tagging links, and so on. If you’re a del.icio.us user, this is worth the download.

I’ll likely stick to their provided Jscript bookmarklet that I can just keep on the menu bar. You see, I handle 3 different del.icio.us accounts, so I use a diff bookmarklet to prompt me to log into the proper account rather than relying on the last used account that the plugin uses…

However, in general, it’s one of many worthwhile plugins.
