RSSOwl 1.2
Congrats to Ben at RSSOwl for releasing 1.2, with the dubious honor of getting Slashdotted at the same time. If you’re looking for a robust Desktop RSS/Atom reader, it’s a good one. If you need NTLM/Digest/Basic authentication capabilities in a free desktop RSS/Atom reader, it’s the only one I know of.
I’ve been following RSSOwl for awhile now [1] [2], so it’s always nice to see a steady flow of improvements. From the announcement:
- Fully customizable Toolbar with new elements like ‘History’
- New Search Scopes allow for more detailed searches
- Cool new look for the HTML Export of News
- Quick-Filter added to Preferences Dialog to quickly find settings
- Switch on ‘Linked Mode’ to update selection in your Favorites automatically
- Improved Feed-Search and Feed-Discovery
- Support for Atom 1.0 Format
- A lot of Bugfixes
